This executive position will be responsible for guiding Piedmont Women’s Center to fulfill our mission to educate, equip, and empower the Upstate of South Carolina to choose life and change lives. This position will be tasked with fulfilling the vision to be the first and best choice for anyone impacted by an unexpected pregnancy or previous abortion, by providing a pathway of hope through Christ.

Piedmont Women’s Center (PWC) is an outreach ministry of Jesus Christ through His Body. Therefore, the entirety of PWC, embodied in its staff, volunteers, and Board of Directors, is committed to presenting the Gospel of our Lord both in word and deed. A personal relationship with Jesus is expected. The new birth accomplished by the Spirit of Christ within will manifest itself in a lifestyle that is holy and pleasing to the Lord. Agreement with PWC’s Statements of Faith, Life, Principle, Confidentiality, Conflict Resolution, and Staff Agreement is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for vision, mission, and strategic plans (shared in partnership with the board).
  • Achieves ministry objectives.
  • Maintains a healthy partnership with the board.
  • Effectively leads positive organizational change.
  • Acts as the primary liaison between the ministry and the community.
  • Develops a healthy relationship between the board and key staff leadership.
  • Develops and motivates a godly leadership team and staff to operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Develops the capability and abilities of the staff to fill roles in a growing organization.
  • Approves job descriptions and salary ranges for the staff.
  • Oversees the executive leadership team in their roles of the ministry.
  • Oversees the management of fiscal resources.
  • Oversees the operational health of the organization.
  • Ensures that appropriate personnel policies and systems for staff are in place.
  • Ensures compliance with AAAHC standards and all legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in non-profit or pro-life leadership or related field.

Experience

  • Sound biblical understanding and application of biblical principles.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in a leadership position with direct supervision of staff and volunteers.
  • Experience in developing and effectively implementing strategic plans and goals.

Specific Skills

  • Spiritual leadership and a personal relationship with God and as a result, loves God and others.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Clear and concise communication abilities in verbal and written form.
  • Capable of casting vision, fund raising, and effecting positive media relations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Working Conditions

  • Administrative and medical office environments with periods of time sitting at a computer station.
